Principal's Message
Dear Families,
We are excitedly looking forward to our disco tonight. Over the holidays I was lucky to join our P&F as they created some AMAZING decorations for the event. Mr M and Mr G are our pumped up DJs who may have a special guest making an appearance! We have planned a lovely day for students on staff on Friday following the excitement of the disco. PJs, movies and popcorn will be enjoyed along with a live performance to launch upcoming Book Week celebrations.
Our Year 3 and Four students had a great day on Monday on their Long Day Experience. Enjoying so many fun and challenging activities, many activities requiring students to challenge themselves physically and mentally as they stepped outside their comfort zones. All students showed tremendous courage and I'm sure they slept well on Monday night. A huge thank you to the staff for organising and attending this enriching experience for our children- this is just one more example of how committed we all are to providing fun and different experiences for our kids.
Congratulations Mrs McGeorge and family! Baby two will be arriving soon and we can't wait for the cuddles Baby Mc George will be getting from his/her aunts and uncles at St James. Alicia will be finishing at the the end of term and we will notify you as soon a suitable replacement is appointed for the Year 1/2 cohort.
Staff absences:
Rebecca Roche is away celebrating her granddaughter's first birthday in QLD. She returns on Tuesday and we look forward to lots of photos!
Zafia (finance) will be absent from August 11 to August 20 as she celebrates her brother's Wedding overseas.
Miss M continues her pediatric nursing placement next week.
Mr M will continue his teaching studies with his teaching placement from August 25 to September 12.In the case of ESO absences, we are endeavouring to replace their absence with ESOs currently employed at St James as they know our students and our students know them.
Have a great week,
Bec
