Principal's Message
We had a fabulous turn out to launch Catholic Education Week with so many families braving the chilly conditions to walk in the footsteps of St James, with shell in hand. They were very spritely and excited to walking together and we thank our 20 plus parent helpers who were able to support our children and keep them safe.
In keeping with the 2024 Catholic Education week theme of a New Dialogue of Love, Hope and Joy and Child Safe Standard One, work has begun with key staff from the Catholic Education Office and St James to contextualise our Acknowledgement of Country. This work includes ensuring that our school is culturally responsive to and inclusive of various cultures and faiths. In our Catholic Education week Acknowledgement, we are able to acknowledge what it is that is important and sacred to us all as a community.
We gather on the Traditional Lands of the Bunurong People.
Just as they shared their learning with children and community, we pray that as we move towards reconciliation and Catholic Education Week, that we too continue to share this tradition, inspiring faith and inspiring learning, preparing our young people to grow into informed and compassionate members of their communities.
As a Catholic community committed to dialogue, we are continuing to walk in the steps of Jesus, ensuring safe and supportive environments wh
We pay our respects to Elders Past, who worked alongside St Mary of the Cross as Catholic Education in Australia began. We pay respect to Elders Present, who walk with us in understanding and reconciliation.
And it is in joyful hope that
Kind Regards, Bec
From the Deputy Principal
