Principal's Message
Dear Families,
Andrew Chinn Visit
Our time with Andrew Chinn yesterday can only be described as a joyful expression of our faith through song and dance! Every student was excited and engaged from the minute they met Andrew. Thank you to our school leaders who met Andrew and helped him set up and pack down as honorary 'roadies'.
It was wonderful to see so many families at the afternoon performance, including a few of our 2025 Foundation students. It was the first time Andrew had been to St James and he commented several times on positive interactions he had with staff and students and was genuinely impressed with our school community. We thank Andrew and look forward to his return.
Confirmation
Tonight we celebrate with nine of our students as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at St John's Koo Wee Rup. We look forward to sharing in this milestone with our families, Fr Avinash and Bishop Greg.
Father's Day Mass and Breakfast
We finish our week celebrating our Dad's and special people in our lives. Thank you in advance to the Parents and Friends Group who do magnificent work in the hospitality space for our school. If you are able to help them with cooking, serving and packing up, please contact the office. Following breakfast, we have our whole school Mass at 9.30am.
Grandparent's Day
Please note the change of time to Grandparent's Day Mass. Feedback from last year was that having the later Mass allowed for easier travel times. Mass will now be at 11am and we will have an altered timetable on this day. We are yet to finalise the rest of the celebrations. Further details will be in next week's newsletter.
Concrete Works Update
The first pour of the front pathway will be commencing tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Please be mindful of extra machinery and traffic in the car park.
Have a great week, Bec
